kitchenApp ("we", "our") is a smart pantry and recipe management app built on the Base44 platform. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and the rights you have over it.
Account data: your email address and, if provided, your full name — used to create and secure your account. Pantry data: the ingredients, quantities, expiry dates, prices and categories you add, plus receipt photos you choose to scan. Preferences: dietary preferences and language settings. Usage data: anonymous analytics events (e.g. app opened, recipe generated) that help us understand how the app is used.
We use your data solely to provide the app's features: storing and tracking your pantry, warning you about expiring food, generating recipe suggestions via our AI provider, and improving the product through aggregate analytics. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Receipt scans and recipe suggestions are processed by our AI service provider to extract ingredients and generate recipes. The images and pantry contents you submit are sent to this provider solely to fulfil your request.
Your data is stored on the Base44 platform with row-level isolation: your pantry and recipes are visible only to you and, where needed for support, to app administrators. Access to your account is protected by authentication and, where available, secure sign-in options.
You can access, correct or export your data at any time from within the app. You may delete individual items yourself, or use the "Delete account" feature in your profile to permanently erase your account together with all pantry items, saved recipes and preferences. You may also contact us to exercise any right under applicable data protection law (including the GDPR).
kitchenApp is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If we update this policy we will publish the new version in the app. For any privacy question or request, contact us via the Contact page.
